Please consider signing on your organization/business to this letter thanking Secretary Haaland and BLM Director Stone-Manning for establishing a National Interagency Native Seed and Restoration Center. This center is a big step forward in addressing our nation’s native seed supply shortage which is a serious barrier to ecological restoration and invasive species eradication on our federal lands. It responds to a recommendation offered by the National Academy of Sciences in 2023 and long-standing concerns raised internally and externally about native seed shortages.
It’s important that our Administration leaders hear from the public how important this new center will be and our appreciation that they are establishing it. We would love to get over 100 signatures!
